Psychosocial Safety at Work

2 min read Learning

At Holan Learning, we believe psychologically safe workplaces don’t just happen — they’re created through leadership, culture and capability.

The Psychosocial Safety at Work series helps leaders and teams understand, manage and reduce psychosocial risks while building the conditions for wellbeing, trust and performance. With a blend of practical tools, case studies and interactive exercises, these workshops move beyond compliance to focus on real-world application — creating workplaces where people feel safe, respected and supported.

The series is designed for organisations committed to promoting wellbeing, preventing harm and building a culture of care and accountability. Workshops are available face-to-face, virtually or as an eLearning package, and can be tailored to your organisational context.

Leading psychosocial safety

Equip leaders with the knowledge and strategies to foster a mentally healthy and safe work environment. Participants learn how to understand what psychosocial safety means and why it matters, identify and address psychosocial hazards and their sources, apply early-intervention techniques to prevent harm, lead with empathy and model psychosocially safe behaviours, and meet legal and organisational obligations around wellbeing.

Creating a psychologically safe culture

Build the confidence and capability to lead teams where people feel safe to speak up, contribute ideas and learn from mistakes. Participants learn the core principles and drivers of psychological safety, how to model inclusive and transparent leadership, how to respond constructively to feedback, risk-taking and failure, how to create team norms that encourage curiosity and shared learning, and communication strategies that build trust and connection.

Conflict resolution

Build the confidence to address and resolve workplace conflict in a way that supports wellbeing and strengthens team relationships. Participants learn to identify and manage early signs of conflict, use communication techniques to de-escalate tension, approach challenging conversations with clarity and care, apply frameworks to resolve issues constructively, and foster respect, collaboration and psychological safety within teams.
